SUMMARY:International Conference on Unarmed Civilian-Based Defence / Colloque international sur la défense civile non-violente
DESCRIPTION:The Mouvement pour une Alternative Non-violente (MAN)\, the Institut pour la Paix (IPP)\, the Institut de recherche sur la Résolution Non-violente des Conflits (IRNC)\, the Organization for Nonviolent Movements (ONM)\, the Center on Nonviolent Conflict Research (CNCR\, USA) and the Organization for Nonviolent Movements (ONM) are organising an international conference in Strasbourg\, France. \nWhy do we organize this conference ? \nIn an uncertain\, turbulent and imperilled world\, military responses to contemporary threats appear to be increasingly challenged. We are nevertheless seeing the emergence of civilian initiatives across the world showing that it is possible to implement civilian-led strategies without involving armed forces. \nWhat are the objectives ?  \nWe believe it is both necessary and urgent for civil society organisations to update and share their work in the field of unarmed civilian-based defence and to publicise their innovative and disruptive proposals in this field. \nWe want to bring together a wide range of actors (activists\, researchers\, political leaders or from the military) from Europe and beyond to exchange experiences and reflections on unarmed civilian defence. SUMMARY:Nein zum Krieg! Ja zu...?
DESCRIPTION:Gemeinsame Herbsttagung von DMFK\, Church & Peace\, Quäkern und Versöhnungsbund \nWehrfähigkeit\, Kriegstüchtigkeit\, Aufrüstung – das ist die Sprache unserer Zeit. Militarisierung erfasst sich nicht nur die Bundeswehr\, sondern auch die politische Debatte und die Gesellschaft. Man könnte meinen\, wir befinden uns bereits in einer Vorkriegszeit. \nDie Vorkriegszeit ist die Zeit der militärischen und gesellschaftlichen Bewaffnung. Krieg wird als etwas Unausweichliches propagiert. Eigentlich ist es aber die Zeit zur Umkehr\, zum deutlichen „Nein“\, zur Kriegsdienstverweigerung – persönlich und als Gesellschaft.\nDiese Zeit verlangt nicht nach Gehorsam\, sondern nach Widerspruch. \nEs ist nicht nur eine Zeit zum „Nein“\, sondern auch zu einem klaren „Ja“! Ein Ja\, das für eine Zukunft ohne Rüstung und Militär steht: ein Ja zum Leben jedes einzelnen Menschen und zum Erhalt der Erde. \nDie Tagung will einen Beitrag zur Friedensfähigkeit in Wort & Tat leisten und lädt ein\, ein „Ja“ zum Frieden zu gestalten. \nMit einem Beitrag von Dalilah Shemia-Goeke\, Co-Geschäftsführung des Bund für Soziale Verteidigung\, am Freitag um 20:00 Uhr zu „Nein zum Krieg\, Ja zur Macht der Menschen: Möglichkeiten gewaltfreier Verteidigung“ \nAnmeldung unter: https://www.dmfk.de/herbsttagung/herbsttagung-2026/
